Arrived Safely Part 1

I did arrive....but my suitcase did not. I was concerned that it may arrive in Brisbane after I had left for my new location ! (PNG) but all is not lost ! I had a call from the hotel today that Qantas had called and that my bag is on route ! I leave for POM tomorrow and will update more then...

Getting Ready

wow....its taken me all this time to get organized to blog. I was wondering how I would save my thoughts and observations of my first trip to Papua New Guinea and the answer was staring me in the face. Technology. Everywhere has access to internet...right?; and so here it is. My first blog. Tomorrow night I am flying to Brisbane via LAX and then, I plan to spend a couple of days in Brisbane before flying to Port Moresby. Having lived and worked in Chad, and having visited many different countries around the world, I don't expect to be too surprised. But I am ready to learn and observe and hopefully have one of the greatest experiences in my life. When I travel with work, it's easy to get complacent and to take the experience for granted but going somewhere new really inspires me to get excited about travel all over again and to embrace the journey that lies ahead.
